There are a number of new bundled macros, and most of the existing ones have undergone enhancements and bug fixes. jEdit 4.1 bundled 28 macros in 4 categories; jEdit 4.2 bundles 58 macros in 7 categories.

Of course you can create new macros of your own, either by recording actions or writing them from scratch.
